Sunday June 15th from 9:30am-12:00pm

Pōʻai by Pono Potions (1119 Smith Street Honolulu, HI 96817).

We specialize in teaching a maiau (neat and meticulous) style of lei making, and are proud to remain true to our roots in sharing this traditionally-inspired style of lei making.  In each of our workshops, we donʻt just teach you how to make a lei, we share context of lei making as a reciprocal practice, from growing, to harvesting, all the way to giving.  We ensure our workshop participants leave with a greater understanding of this cultural practice as a whole, as well as the skills and resources to continue its perpetuation beyond the workshop.

Enjoy Pōʻaiʻs full menu available for purchase during the workshop including artisan coffee and tea creations, baked goods, and breakfast sammies.  Pōʻaiʻs drink menu is carefully crafted using their Pono Potions natural syrups made in-house.  Unwind and recenter yourself in Pōʻaiʻs beautifully curated space featuring art from local and native Hawaiian artists, antiques, and more.

All skill levels are welcome!  This workshop is most suitable for ages 12+, however we welcome all ages (children with adult supervision).
