A collection bridging culture & science honoring the endemic Hibiscus kokio subsp. saintjohnianus.
Kokiʻo ʻulaʻula is endemic to Kauaʻi, and is a threatened species- indicating it is at risk of becoming endangered. This plant is traditionally used for lei making and lāʻau lapaʻau.
We worked with local artist Jalen Muraoka to create this collection inspired by the Kokiʻo ʻUlaʻula.
