Our mission is to strengthen our community and emphasize the importance of protecting native ecosystems and perpetuating cultural practices for our own health and survival, as well as that of cultural practices.
We aim to provide the resources, materials, and educational opportunities that our community needs to be apart of the change towards a more resilient future.
Vision
We envision a connected and informed community in Hawaiʻi that stands together to enact long lasting change, perpetuate and uplift cultural practices, such as lei making, and values native species and ecosystems, and perpetuates this knowledge in pono and creative ways.
Services
PALAI is rooted in sharing knowledge, creativity, and connection through hands-on experiences. We offer a variety of workshops designed to celebrate culture, community, and the natural world around us:
- Community Workshops – Open gatherings that bring people together to learn skills such as lei making, floral arranging, and wreath making.
- Private Workshops – Personalized workshops for groups looking for a more intimate, tailored experience in lei making, floral arranging, or wreath making.
- Community Educational Workshops – Programs centered on native ecosystems, such as native plant gardening, that foster deeper understanding and care for our environment.
