The original story behind this design was to go along with our Lei Kits - the concept that each Lei Kit has everything you need to make a lei, all you need to do is "Just Add Pua".
However, in light of recent times, it seems like the design may align more with a hopeful message and a reminder that when things get rough and time seems dark, sometimes adding a little bit of pua to your life can go a long way.
The design features 4 native flowers (from top left, clockwise):
- Pōhinahina - Vitex rotundifolia (Indigenous)
- Pāʻū o Hiʻiaka - Jacquemontia sandwicensis (Endemic)
- Koʻokoʻolau - Bidens amplectens (Endemic)
- ʻŌhai - Sesbania tomentosa (Endemic)
