Pōhinahina, Vitex rotundifolia, is an indigenous coastal plant apart of the sage family.  It has silvery green leaves, small purple flower clusters, and a pleasant scent. 

It is a sprawling shrub that plays a key role in shoreline stabilization.  Itʻs cultural uses include lei making and repelling insects from kapa.
